Design element extension, seen as trails on the
left corners of the letters in LIBERTY, extra thickness is seen on
the
ERTY of LIBERTY, the digits of the date and the letters of
TRUST. Also affected are Lincoln’s beard
and bow tie. Notice
the single trail from the last T in TRUST and the letter distortion
on the
R of LIBERTY. The offset direction is 350 degrees.

Reverse
is MDS – die gouge to the left
of the O in ONE. die gouge on the left
side of the vertical of the E in ONE. Die

Stage “B”, Obverse is MDS – die gouge under
the right side of the N in IN.
Reverse is MDS – Light die
scratches under UNUM. This
reverse has a minor DDR (Extra
column bar) on column 6.
REVERSE DIE CHANGED: Small
die
gouge between the middle of
the N in ONE and the rim. This
die is EMDS.
NOTE: This
die was discovered by Bob Piazza of Florida.
