DESCRIPTION: A faint trail line can be seen from the Y of
LIBERTY.
The offset direction is 010 degrees.Even
though this trail is very
minor, it
is hoped that an earlier die state coin will be found that
may show additional trail lines. This coin has also been cleaned
(polished) which may have obliterated some additional trail lines.
This die was found by Mary Fantauzzo of New York.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “D”, obverse is VLDS – none observed
Reverse is VLDS – die gouge under the
last A of AMERICA.
