DESCRIPTION: Dual trail lines are seen from the denticles of this

1921 Morgan dollar. While there is some variation to the actual

direction of all the trail lines present, the offset direction is listed

as 180 degrees. Notice that the trail lines are indicated by white

arrows and the die determination flow lines are indicated by

black arrows.

DESCRIPTION: This reverse on a Sacagawea dollar coin has two sets of trail lines. The first set, with an offset direction of 080° can be seen from the thumb of the hand holding the peace pipe and the end letters of WAMPANOAG TREATY. The date of 1621 also has trail lines. The second set, which has an offset direction of 160°, can be seen from the bottom of the letters in WAMPANOAG TREATY, the ends of the rawhide strips from the cuff and the designer’s initials.
