direction of 170 degrees.
NOTES: This die
was discovered by Robert Tingle. This is one
of
the dies to
show a relationship between design extension (trails)
and wavy steps. Both the fluting lines and the trails are traveling
in the same direction. This was the first die to carry a WST
(wavy step / trail) designator.

dot on the end
of Lincoln's nose.
Reverse is LDS - design extensions
on the ERICA of AMERICA and the

Moderate step deviation can be seen

The moderate trails can be seen affecting the letters E, R, I, C and
A of AMERICA. The offset direction of both the trails and wavy
steps is 160°. Notice the crossover trail on the letter A.

there are also trail lines present on the left corners of the
stylobate and the NE of ONE. All the trail lines have an offset
direction of 330 degrees.
