TRAIL STRENGTH:

FLUTING LINE;                                               

  1. weak - to the first level of the stylobate
  2. moderate - to the second level of the stylobate
  3. strong - to the third level of the stylobate
  4. very strong - to the shrubs below the stylobate.

Step Deviation;

  1. light - deviation to the third step.
  2. moderate - deviation to the sixth step.
  3. strong - deviation to the twelfth step.
  4. very strong - deviation to the bottom step.

Trail Lines;

  1. weak - 1 millimeter or less *
  2. moderate - 1 to 3 millimeters *
  3. strong - over 3 millimeters *

* The strength of a trail must also have its line intensity taken into consideration.While not common, some trail lines are short but are very prominent, while at times some trail lines are very long and hard to see.
