For the last four years, these trail dies have started from just an idea to now being listed on their own site. Through this time period there have been more than a few people who have helped me gather information, formulate ideas and in general, offered very useful suggestions that have helped construct these important files.

So, in no particular order or importance I would like to thank these people. Mike Diamond for his support and his help, especially on the theory part of trail dies. Ken Potter for steering me on the right course a number of times and for some very in depth information. To Bill Slaughter for suppling me with a constant stream of some of the more unusual trail and wavy steps. To Bob Piazza for getting in there and helping with some of the photography work, correcting my many spelling errors and his vast, pertinent knoweldge of not only the Lincoln cent, but other denominational coins as well. Plus, he has found some great and unusual trail dies. To Frank Leone, long time Editor of ERRORSCOPE, who thought enough of these files to list them initially on his web site. To Gene Nichols, for his great support, lessons on photography and special thanks to him for without his foresight, these files on trail dies may never have been done.

I also must not forget to thank all the people who have sent  trail dies to me for attribution. Without their trust and consideration, these files would not be possible.

The last person and the most important in my life is my wife Jeanie, who has put up with my long hours, days, weeks , and months at the scope and camera. Without her understanding, I would have given up this task a long time ago.

Thank you All,

BJ Neff
