DESCRIPTION: Strong trail lines from all the letters in EPU.
Also
seen are extensions from the bottom of NITE of UNITED
and all the letters in STATES. This
die is very similar
to 1994P-1DER-045T.
The trails carry through to the word CENT where they are seen
on the termini of CEN. The last area is the statue of Lincoln where
trails are again seen. All lines have on offset direction of
050 degrees.
Trail lines can also be seen on all the letters in AMERICA,
except for the last A, both URNS
and the top left cornice
edge. There are trails from the tops of most columns
(not shown) and the right corners of the stylobate and
designer’s initials.

found by Joe
Koelling of North Carolina and it is considered
a major trail
die. The offset direction is 070 degrees.

in ONE. There is an extension of the left base line
with a split occuring on that line just
below the first left
shrub. There are trail lines occuring from both the cornice
and roof corners, with distortion seen on the cornice edge.
The UN of UNITED has
some distortion on the top part of
the letters. Trail lines can be seen on the E and left
dot of
the motto EPU. The offset direction is 270 degrees. This
unusual
die was found by Bill Slaughter of Arkansas.
