DESCRIPTION: This is one of the more unusual trail dies
that
shows wide spread trail
lines from numerous design elements.
Using
a PUP of the EPU, we can see lines from the tops of all
the letters in that motto. The T and E of UNITED, the A, T and
E of STATES, the F of OF and the AMERI of AMERICA all show
the same directional lines. On the lower half of the die, the right
corners of the stylobate, the F of the designer’s initials, the N
and T of CENT and even the N and E of ONE have faint trails
and distortion. Also showing the same directional lines are the
tops of thee columns and the cornice. The offset direction for
this die is 030 degrees.

die chip on the R
of LIBERTY.
Reverse is LDS – die break on the
left side of the left URN.
