be seen from the E and P of EPU and the lower serifs of both S in STATES. The offset direction is 300°. The second set
can be seen from the ERC of AMERICA. This set has an offset direction of 120° or the reciprocal of 300°.The third
set can be seen on some of the letters in ONE CENT. This set has an offset direction of 090°. This die is also couple

DESCRIPTION: The first quadruple trail die to be found. The first set can be
found on the designer’s initials with an offset direction of 070°. The second set can be found on the C and E of
CENT with an offset direction of 120°. The third and strongest set is found on the motto EPU and the first S and A of
STATES. The last set is found on the ER of AMERICA. Exactly why there is so many different directions of trails is unknown
at this time. However, they all appear to be made from movement of the die againstthe hub.
