DESCRIPTION: Letter distortion to the upper parts of IBERTY

can be seen. While this die does not show distinct trails, the

ramped extension, due north, is an indicator that this is a true

trail die. The overall condition of the coin also hampers precise

analysis and future coins may actually show trail lines. The

offset direction is approximately 000 degrees. 

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – an old die gouge is

                                                seen in the field below and to the right

                                                of the word IN.

                                                Reverse is LDS – two small die gouges

                                                are seen in the middle of the O in ONE.
