DESCRIPTION: Moderate trails from the top of the letters BERTY in LIBERTY. The offset direction is 330 degrees. This die was found and photographed by Bob Piazza of Florida.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die scratches under Lincoln’s chin.

Reverse is MDS – die gouge in the center of the U in UNITED.

DESCRIPTION: Classic trail line from the top of the 7 digit with typical distortion on the 8 digit in the form of two small trails from the top. Although there are no wide spread trail lines, this is still a nice example of that die type. The offset direction is 030 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – Die gouge under Lincoln’s chin. Die scratch to the right of Lincoln’s bow tie.

Reverse is LDS – die gouge on the left side of the vertical bar of the T in CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines from the tops of the letters LIBERT. The offset direction is 000 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – minor class II doubled die with light extra thickness on the DATE and TRUST. The R in TRUST does have a notched right leg.

Reverse is MDS – die gouge to the left of the Memorial base.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines from the tops of the letters in LIBERTY.The offset direction is 350º

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – small die gouge next to the rim and to the left of VDB.

Reverse is MDS – small die dot in the O of ONE. Die dot on the inner left leg of the N in ONE.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines from the left top corners of the D of GOD and the letters in TRUST. The offset direction is 330º

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – Light die scratching to the right of the Y in LIBERTY.

Reverse is LDS – Random, heavy die scratching on the reverse. Die chips in the E and N of cent.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines are seen from the digits of the date. The offset direction is 090 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “A”, obverse is EDS – a small die gouge is seen to the bottom left of the O in GOD.

Reverse is EDS – a small die scratch is seen just under the N of UNITED.
