DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 1, 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8, with an offset direction of 200 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted

Reverse is MDS – die gouge by left cornice corner. Small die scratches are seen under the U of PLURIBUS.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate under columns 11, 12 and right corner. Very strong step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, with an offset direction of 200 degrees. Light step deviation is seen under the right post (urn).

This later die stage (Stage “C”) coin has serious plating concerns.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is VLDS – a ring of die gouge below the BE of LIBERTY. A small die gouge Is seen to the left of the DATE.

Reverse is MDS – none noted.

Stage “C”, obverse is LEDS – obverse die has been changed. Small triangular shaped die gouge is seen next to the rim.

Reverse is LDS – a die crack is seen in the lower parts of bays 6, 7 and 8.

Note: Stage “C” was found by Billy Crawford.

DESCRIPTION: Light step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die crack in Lincoln’s hair angling towards the word WE.

Reverse is MDS – die chip on the left edge of the cornice. Die gouge in the O of ONE.

DESCRIPTION: Light step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – long die scratch from Lincoln’s coat and angling northeast to above the DATE.

Reverse is LDS – small die gouge from the top of the roof under the NU of UNUM.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8.

DIE MAKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted.

Reverse is MDS – die chip with die crack in column 1. Another small die chip is seen in the stairs below bay 7.

DESCRIPTION: Fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 11 and 12. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – odd crescent shaped die break on the lower part of the first 9 of the DATE.

Reverse is LDS – die deterioration flow lines on the bottom of the E, N and T of CENT. Notice how these lines are radial in direction and not parallel like trail lines.

DESCRIPTION: Slight letter distortion on the Ts of STATES. Letter distortion is seen on the EPU and the periods. Although this die does not have long trails, the direction can be estimated at 330 degrees. This die also is coupled with a obverse trail die, 1993P-1DEO-001. This die was found by Bob Piazza of Florida.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – 1993P-1DEO-001 

Reverse is MDS – heavy die scratching throughout the whole reverse die.

DESCRIPTION: Light fluting line extension, into the stylobate, is seen under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8, with an offset direction of 190 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed.

Reverse is MDS – die dot above the L of PLURIBUS. Die crack with die chip in column 1.

DESCRIPTION: Light step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8. Fluting line extension, into the stylobate is seen under columns 10, 11 and 12.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “A”, obverse is EDS – die dot under the W of WE.

Reverse is EDS – die dot in the stylobate under bay 10.
