DESCRIPTION: Faint trail lines are seen from the tops of the letters in the EPU. Also seen are trails from the MERI of AMERICA. The offset direction is 350 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “D”, obverse is VLDS – old die gouge is seen above the B in LIBERTY.

Reverse is VLDS – die scratching is seen below and to the right of the S in PLURIBUS.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate Step deviation is seen under columns 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 with multiple fluting line extension seen under columns 10, 11 and 12. There are also trail lines seen from the designer’s initials. All lines have an offset direction of 180 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – none noted

Reverse is LDS – a die crack is seen on the right side of the N down to the rim. A die dot is seen between the E and D of UNITED.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines are seen from the top left corners of the E and N of CENT and the E of ONE. The offset direction is 330 degrees. This is a combination die with trails also seen on the obverse; see die 1994P 1DEO-007T.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – heavy die scratching is seen above the date and LIBERTY.

Reverse is MDS – heavy die scratching is seen above ONE and CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the letters in CENT and ONE. The one trail line from the N of ONE has an offset direction of 270 degrees as does the trail line from the top left corner of the N in CENT. The other trail lines have an offset direction of 090 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is LMDS – none noted

Reverse is LMDS – light die scratching is seen in bays 1 and 2 and also the area around the left stylobate. There are two small die gouges seen to the right of the N in CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate trail lines are seen from the interior letters in EPU. Also seen are trail lines on some of the letters in UNITED, STATES, CENT and ONE. There is also step deviation under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8, with a moderate fluting line extension seen under column 10. All trail lines seen have an offset direction of 160 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – light die scratching is seen in front of Lincoln’s nose and Adam’s apple.

Revere is LDS – small die anomaly in the lower part of bay 9. Lincoln’s statue has lines forming from the top of his head.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen form the right top corners of the letters in EPU. The strength of the trail lines seems to increase towards the right. The offset direction is 330 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is LDS – none noted.

Reverse is MDS – a die scratch is seen above the O of ONE. Flow lines are seen around the C of AMERICA.

DESCRIPTION: Short trail lines are seen from the letters in EPU. In addition trail lines can also be seen on some of the letters in UNITED, STATES, and OF. All of the trails have an offset direction of 330 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, Obverse is MDS – small die gouge under the date. The obverse has a minor misaligned die

Reverse is MDS – Light E-W die scratches in the center memorial bays.  A die scratch shows above the roof decorative elements.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8. The offset direction is 180 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is MDS – die damage is seen in front of Lincoln’s nose.

Reverse is LDS – die gouges are seen between the ON of ONE

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the top left corners of the E.PL of EPU. Also seen are trail lines from the left corners of the roof and cornice. The offset direction is 280 degrees

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is LMDS – none noted.

Reverse is LMDS – a small die dot is seen just below the right eave of the Memorial building. Another small die dot is seen between the base line and the T of CENT.
