DESCRIPTION: Light fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under column 2. Light step deviation under columns 5, 6 and 7, with an offset direction of 200º.

Reverse is MDS – small die gouge on the top of the E in ONE. Die dot to the right of the F in the designer’s initials.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate to strong fluting line extension, into the styloabte, under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8, with an offset direction of 190°.

The obverse of this die also has weak trail lines from the tops of the 9s in the date with an offset direction of 060°.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – small die gouge to the left of the L in LIBERTY.

Reverse is MDS – die gouge to the lower right of the N in CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Light fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8. The offset direction is 190º.

Reverse is MDS – die dot above the R in PLURIBUS. Light die gouge on the left side of the T in CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate, short fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Very light step deviation under columns 5 and 6.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die crack from Lincoln’s brow and into the rim between WE and TRUST.

Reverse is MDS – none noted.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines can be seen from the TE of STATES and faintly from some of the letters in EPU. There is also some distortion to the designer’s initials. The offset direction is 060 degrees. This die was found by Bill Slaughter of Arkansas.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted.

Reverse is MDS – die gouges in the middle of the O in ONE.  Die gouge under the right base tip.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines can be seen from the tops of the letters on STATES that seem to form notches. In addition faint trails are also on some of the letters in EPU. The offset direction is 030 degrees. This is another trails die that is also a doubled die reverse.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, Obverse is MDS – Die clash remnants under the ear.

Reverse is MDS – A DDR shows as doubled knees on the statue.  A die chip is seen on the right cornice. Die clash line is in the 3rd bay.

NOTE: This die was found by Bob Piazza of Florida.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the bottom left corners of the N and E of ONE. Notice the cross-over trail from the center bar on the E. Trails is also seen on the top left corners of the ENT of CENT. The offset direction is 270 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – none noted.

Reverse is LDS – small die gouges are seen around the RIC of AMERICA.

Small die gouges are seen around the T of CENT.

NOTE: This die was found by Jimmy Ehrhart.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines can be seen on the ES of STATES, the word OF and some of the letters in EPU. The offset direction is 340 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die dot over the L of LIBERTY. Die dot under the last 9 in the date (not shown)

Reverse is MDS – die gouge in the right base of the T in CENT. Another smaller die gouge is seen to the right of that T. Two small die dots are under the diagonal bar of the N in ONE.

NOTE: This die was found by William Glenn of Florida.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the EPY, the TE of UNITED, the two Ts in STATES, the NE of ONE and all the letters in CENT. Particularly interesting are all the cross over trail lines on the NE of ONE and the CET of CENT. Also seen is a trail line from the top of the left urn. The offset direction of all lines is 060 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is EMDS – none noted.

Reverse is EMDS – there is an extra seventh column, which makes it a doubled die.

DESCRIPTION: Light to moderate fluting line extension is seen entering into the stylobate under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under column.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted.

Reverse is MDS – two small die gouges are seen along the base line over the O of ONE. Two die gouges are seen above the designer’s initials.
