DESCRIPTION: Light step deviation is seen under columns 4, 5, 6,7 and 8. The offset direction is 180 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “A”, obverse is VLDS – a die gouge is seen on top of Lincoln’s head below and between the letters of WE. Another die gouge is seen on the S of TRUST

Reverse is EDS – a small die gouge is seen in bay seven, opposite of Lincoln’s statue.

DESCRIPTION: Very light step distortion can be seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8. The offset direction is 180 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B “, obverse is MDS – a series of die dots can be seen in the field well below the ER of LIBERTY. Another die dot is seen above the R of LIBERTY

Reverse is MDS – a die gouge is seen over the left corner of the lower stylobate

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B “, obverse is EMDS – none noted.

Reverse is EMDS – a die crack is seen from the top of column 4. Die dots are seen in the cornice above column 11, on the left side of column 11 and on the right corner of the lowest stylobate.

Reverse is MDS – a small die gouge is seen in the N of ONE. Another die gouge is seen below the right side of the C in CENT
