DESCRIPTION: Light to moderate trail lines from the left bottom corners of the letters in LIBERTY, with an offset direction of 190º.

DIE MAKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed.

Reverse is MDS – two small die dots by the last S in STATES and the O in the word OF. Die dots in the upper part of bay 1 and the cornice above bay 1.

DESCRIPTION: Short, thick trail lines are seen from the bottom of all the letters in LIBERTY. The offset direction is 180°.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die damage above the B of LIBERTY.

Reverse is MDS – small die dot between the O and N of ONE.

Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – a small die dot is seen above the two zeros of the date.

Reverse is LDS – a series of small die gouges is seen between the left base line corner and the rim.

NOTE: This die was found by Joshua Haynes of Alabama. Stage “C” was found by Jeremy Gardner.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the word TRUST, GOD and LIBERTY. The offset direction is 330 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted.

Reverse is MDS – a die gouge is seen in the O of ONE

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the top left corners of the letters in LIBERTY. The offset direction is 300 degrees.

DIE MARKERS:  Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – a die gouge is seen just above Lincoln’s head and to the right of WE.

Reverse is MDS – a series of die gouges are seen in and around the NT of CENT.
