DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 10 and 11. Light step deviation is seen under columns  5, 6, 7 and 8, with an offset direction of 180 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – small die gouge in the upper loop of the B in LIBERTY

Reverse is MDS – A cluster of die gouges in the upper part of bay 11.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate to strong, multiple fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 10, 11 and 12. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8, with emphasis on the right side.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – a cluster of die gouges is seen to the right of the word IN. Another small die gouge is seen above Lincoln’s bow tie.

Reverse is MDS – none noted.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 10 and 11. Light step deviation under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8, with an offset direction of 170 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – two die gouges to the right of the first T in TRUST. Small die gouge over the B in LIBERTY

Reverse is MDS – none observed.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate under columns 10, 11 and with moderate step deviation under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8. The offset direction is 170 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse; is MDS – die gouge between the B and E of LIBERTY.

Reverse is MDS – small die gouge above the  bottom bar of the E in STATES.

DESCRIPTION: Light fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 10 and 11. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 6, 7 and 8, with an offset direction of 170 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – small die gouge is seen in the E of the word WE.

Reverse is MDS – small die gouge on the inside of the O in ONE.

DESCRIPTION; Multiple moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under column 10, 11. Light to moderate step deviation is seen under columns 7 and 8, with an offset direction of 170 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die gouge in front of the date.

Reverse is MDS Die cracks in columns 1, 3 and 4. Die chip in column 2. Die crack in the cornice over bays 2 and 3. Small die dots are seen in and around the NT of CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate trail lines are seen from the top right corners of the letters in EPU. Also seen are trail lines from the top of the scrolling on the right side cornice. All trail lines have an offset direction of 020 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die crack in Lincoln’s forehead. Another die crack with a small die chip can be seen on Lincoln’s nose.

Reverse is MDS – Die crack from the top of column 4 into the cornice above.

NOTE: This die was found by Jean Lee of California.

DESCRIPTION: Light step deviation is seen under columns 6 and 7, with emphasis on the right side.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed.

Reverse is MDS – die gouge in the D of UNITED. Die crack in and over column 4.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate multiple fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 10 and 11. Light step deviation under columns 5, 6 and 7, with an offset direction of 170 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die gouge in the upper loop of the B in LIBERTY. Die gouge under the I of LIBERTY.

Reverse is MDS – die crack in column 2. Die crack in the cornice over bays2 and 3.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 10 and 11. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, with an offset direction of 170 degrees. Trail lines are also seen under the letters of UNUM.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed.

Reverse is MDS – small die gouge under the diagonal bar of the N in UNUM. Die damage to the left of the left edges of the stylobate.
