DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under column 3. Light step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8, with emphasis on the left side.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – a minor doubled die obverse centered on the word LIBERTY with notching and division lines on the RTY. Extra thickness can also be seen on these letters.

Reverse is MDS – die gouge on the left side of the C in AMERICA.

DESCRIPTION: Faint trail lines are seen from the top left corners of the letters in EPU. Also seen are faint trail lines from the top left corners of the ER of AMERICA. The offset direction is 330 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – a die crack is seen on Lincoln’s forehead.

Reverse is MDS – a die gouge is seen in the middle of the O of ONE.

NOTE: This die was found Jeremy Gardner.

DESCRIPTION: Light fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under column 2 and 3. Light step deviation is under columns 5, 6 and 7, with emphasis on the left side.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed

Reverse is MDS – die gouge between the U and N of UNITED. Die crack with small chip over bay 2. An extra column is seen in bay 6, right side.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Moderate to light step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6 and 7, with an offset direction of 190 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed

Reverse is MDS – die crack from the top of column 2 into the cornice, ending in a die chip over column 3.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension is seen entering into the stylobate under columns 2 and 3. Moderate to light step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8. The offset direction is 190 degrees.

Reverse is MDS – die crack with chip over column 3.

Stage “C”, obverse is LMDS – none observed

Reverse is LMDS – die crack from the E of CENT traveling through the C and over to the E of ONE and into the rim.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Moderate to light step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6 and 7, with an offset direction of 190 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, Obverse is MDS – a cluster of die gouges over the LIB of LIBERTY. (Not shown)

Reverse is MDS – an extra set of knees on Lincoln’s statue. Die crack from the field into the E of ONE and onto the rim.

NOTE: Classified as a major due to the doubled die.

DESCRIPTION: Light fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under column 3 with light step deviation seen under columns 5, 6 and 7.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none observed

Reverse is MDS – double extra sixth column. Die chip in column 1.

NOTE: A doubled die. The photographed coin was found to have a unique form of doubling that was discussed, by Mike Diamond, in the March / April, 2007 issue of ERRORSCOPE.

Trails are seen from the bottom left corners of the letters TATES of STATES, the E and the P of PLURIBUS. As with the wavy steps seen below, this also has an offset direction of 190 degrees.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5 through 8, with an offset direction of 190 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die gouge above and to the left of VDB.

Reverse is MDS – die crack over bays 3.

DESCRIPTION: Light to moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8, with emphasis on the left side.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS– massive die crack through Lincoln’s head, up and into WE.

Reverse is MDS – Large die chip in the upper part of column 2.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8, with emphasis on the left side.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS, – two small die gouges by the G of GOD.

Reverse is MDS – small die scratch under the R of PLURIBUS.
