DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LMDS – light trail lines from the letters in LIBERTY and the TR of TRUST.

Reverse is LMDS – none noted.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 2 and 3. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8, with emphasis on the left side.

Reverse is MDS – Die crack from the field, through the C of CENT and into the rim. Die chip in column 1.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines are seen from the tops of the letters TES in STATES, OF and the A of AMERICA, The offset direction is 300º. There is also some minor distortion on the letter tops of EPU. This die was found by Carol LaDue of California.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted

Reverse is MDS – die gouge in the A of STATES.

Stage “C”, obverse is MDS – large die crack across the top of Lincoln’s head.

Reverse is MDS – die gouge in the A of STATES remains.

DESCRIPTION: Light step deviation under columns 5, 6, 7 and 8, with emphasis on the left side. This die also has a working hub doubling and is seen as indents into the stairs below the right side columns. The designator for this is 2006P-1WHDER-001.

The obverse die also has a minor doubled die, seen as extra thickness on the TY of LIBERTY with notching on the lower right termini of those letters. This die was found by Jeremy Gardner of Kentucky.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – a doubled die with extra thickness on the TY of LIBERTY and notching on the lower right of those letters.

Reverse is MDS – die gouge under the right side of the horizontal bar of the second T in STATES.
