Description: Flat like trail lines are seen from the letters in the word LIBERTY. Also seen is a trail line from the G of GOD. The offset direction is 270°.

Die Markers:  Obverse is LDS – a die crack is seen in Lincoln’s forehead.

Reverse is LDS – two small die gouges are seen to the right of the last 0 in the date.

Description: Trail lines are seen from the letters in the word TRUST. The offset direction is 300°

Die Markers: Obverse is MDS – diagonal die scratches are seen behind Lincoln’s head.

Reverse is MDS – none noted.

Description: Very light trail lines are seen from the 7 digit in the date. Th offset direction is 190°

Die Markers: Obverse is LDS – a die crack is seen in Lincoln’s forehead.

Reverse is LDS – die cracks are seen in the top of column 1.

 

2007P-1DEO-014T                       030° & 200°

DESCRIPTION:  A dual directional trail die. The predominant trails are seen from the bottom left corners of the letters in LIBERTY and have an offset direction of 200 degrees. The secondary set is on the letters of WE and has an offset direction of 030 degrees. While not a reciprocal pair of trail lines, these are close enough to be considered a snap back due to the die correcting itself from thermal warping.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted

Reverse is MDS – three small die dots are seen in the stylobate under column 11. A die gouge is seen to the left of the T in CENT.

NOTE: This die was found by David Miller.

Description: Trail lines are seen from the bottom of the LIBE of the word LIBERTY. The offset direction is 180°.

Die Markers: Obverse is LDS – a die crack is seen in Lincoln’s forehead.

Reverse is LDS – a die crack is seen in the top of column 2.

Description: Trail lines are seen from the bottom of the letters in LIBERTY. The offset direction is 170°.

Die Markers: Obverse is LDS – none noted.

Reverse is LDS – diagonal die scratches are seen above the ON of ONE. A die gouge is seen in the C of AMERICA.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines from the lower left corners of the letters in LIBERTY. The offset direction is 190 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: (Black arrows)Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – memorial bay clash below the ear. Die crack across forehead above eye.

Reverse is MDS – die cracking from the tops of columns 1-3 with die chipping near roof.
