DIE MAKERS: Stage “A”, obverse is EDS – die crack from Lincoln’s brow to his hair line. An emerging die crack is forming from Lincoln’s hair line towards the first T of TRUST.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “A”, obverse is EDS – light die crack on Lincoln’s forehead.

Reverse is EDS – die crack above bay 1. Die crack on the top of column 2.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate trail lines are seen from the top left corners of the letters in LIBERTY. The offset direction is 330 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is EMDS – a small developing die crack is seen in the top part of Lincoln’s forehead entering into the hair and angling towards the first T in TRUST.

Reverse is EMDS – a die crack in the C and E of CENT.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines are seen from all four digits of the date. The offset direction is 060 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is LMDS- none noted.

Reverse is LMDS – a die chip has formed in column and bay 1. Multiple die cracks can be seen radiating from this die chip. There is a split die crack in the E of ONE that ends with the crack merging into the rim.

Reverse is LDS – small die gouge under the left leg of the A in STATES. Die cracks are seen in the upper parts of columns 2, 3 and 4.
