DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is EMDS – a diagonal die scratch is seen over the word LIBERTY.

Reverse is EMDS – none noted.

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines are seen from the tops of the letters in LIBERTY. The offset direction is 300 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – none noted.

Reverse is MDS – a die dent is seen in the field to the left of Lincoln’s right leg and to the right and above the trees.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the bottom of the letters in LIBERTY. The offset direction is 190 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – a die crack is seen from the bridge of Lincoln’s nose up through the forehead and into the hair.

Reverse is MDS – a die crack extends into the field from the tip of the left boot.

Reverse is EDS – a die crack is seen from Lincoln’s left boot tip.

DESCRIPTION: Moderate to strong trail lines are seen from the top of the BERTY of LIBERTY in the date. The Trails get stronger the further east they appear.  The offset direction is approximately 045 degrees.

Die markers: Stage “A”,     Obverse and reverse is EDS –   No markers could be found.  A possible die gouge is seen above the initials ‘SG’ on the reverse.
