DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines are seen from the top of the letters in LIBERTY. A trail line is seen from the top of the 1 digit in the date. The offset direction is 000.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B“, obverse is MDS – a die crack is seen from the bottom of the 0 digit in the date.
Reverse is MDS – die cracks run along the top edge of the shield. Another die crack is seen entering into the field from the top of the shield.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the nose and lips of Lincoln. Trail lines are also seen from the ST of TRUST and the first 2 digit in the date. The offset direction is 100°.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “C“, obverse is LDS – a die gouge is seen just above the left arm of the Y in LIBERTY. Another smaller die gouge is seen above the last 2 digit in the date.
Reverse is LDS – a die crack is seen along the left top edge of the shield.

DESCRIPTION: Distortion is seen on the letter tops in the word LIBERTY. There is also planchet grain going through the word LIBERTY which is not to be confused with trail lines. The offset direction is 000°.
DIE MARKERS: Stage “B“, obverse is MDS – a die scratch is seen from the D of GOD to the T of TRUST.
Reverse is MDS – a die crack with die chips is seen along the top left edge of the shield. Dimples can be seen on the reverse die under the peripheral letters.
