DIE MARKERS: Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – none noted

Reverse is LDS – metal flow lines are seen above and through the FG. A small die gouge is in the O of ONE. A die break is seen on the upper right corner of the N in ONE.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen coming from the tops of the letters in LIBRERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST. Also noted are trail lines from the bottom of the date in the opposite direction, making this a dual directional trail die. The offset directions are 000 degrees and 180 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – a die gouge is seen above and to the left of the 1 digit in the date.

Reverse is MDS – Vertical die scratches are seen through the O of ONE.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen coming from the tops of the letters in the word IN GOD WE TRUST. Also noted are light trail lines from the top of the date. The offset direction is 020 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – a die gouge is seen to the SE of the 2nd 9 in the date.

Reverse is MDS – Die gouge under the E of AMERICA. Light N-S die scratches in all memorial bays as well as most of the reverse

DESCRIPTION: Light trail lines are seen from the top of LIBE in LIBERTY. The coin has strong lathe lines on the reverse and is listed as 1996D-1c-LL-018T.

Offset direction is 355 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – a die gouge is seen in the mintmark (D).

Reverse is MDS – Use lathe marks as markers
