DESCRIPTION: Moderate trail lines are seen on the left tower of the Capitol building, ONE CENT, the ERIBU of PLURIBUS and the word UNUM. The offset direction is 300 degrees.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “A”, obverse is EDS – a horizontal die scratch is seen below the RT of LIBERTY.

Reverse is EDS – a small die gouge is seen to the left of the T in UNITED.

DESCRIPTION: Light trails can be seen from both designers’ initials, CENT and a few different points on the building. Coin also has concentric Lathe Lines from about k12-k3 in the upper NE quadrant; strongest near the building, weakening toward the motto, and strengthening through the motto and fading before the rim (listed as 2009(PR) 1c-LL-001). Offset direction is 225 degrees.

DIE MAKERS: Stage “B”, Obverse is MDS – Die crack through hair under WE; die crack across eyebrow.

Reverse is MDS – Reverse shows concentric Lathe Lines and is listed as 2009 (PR) 1c-LL-001.

DESCRIPTION: Trail lines are seen from the NE of ONE and the NT of CENT. The offset direction is 330°. This is a combination trail die with trails seen on both the obverse and reverse die.

DIE MARKERS: Stage “B“, obverse is MDS – a die crack is seen from the bridge of Lincoln’s nose into his forehead. 2009P(PR)-1DEO-003T
